Description |
Ceremonial objects and works of art from Germany and Austria, intended to convey the “comparatively peaceful life” of these Jews before and during the period of the Emancipation. The exhibition’s first section presented objects of religious life, while the second recalled secular life through portraits, medals and other domestic items. Introductory essay by Edith Varga-Biro.
