- IntroductionTeemu Pauha is a Psychologist of Religion currently working as University Lecturer in Islamic Theology at the University of Helsinki. His main academic interests include the social psychology of religious identity and interreligious relations. In his PhD thesis (2018, University of Helsinki) he examined the national and religious identities of young Muslims in Finland. In his current project, Pauha studies the ways in which young Shiʾi Muslims in Finland use the Qurʾan in negotiations of identity and authority. Iiris Nikanne is a doctoral researcher in the Doctoral Programme of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Helsinki. Her PhD project explores the conversion narratives of Iraqi converts from Islam to Christianity and Finnish converts from Christianity to Islam. The research is a continuation of her ma thesis at the University of Helsinki in which she studied the experiences of Arab asylum migrants in Finland who have converted from Islam to Christianity.
