Abstract: Originally introduced by T.H. Huxley as a principle constraining belief systems in general, agnosticism is now regarded specifically as a stance on theism. Different strengths of agnosticism can be identified, and of the strongest, and most interesting of these, the key questions to be asked are: whether it is rationally justified, whether it is self-defeating, and whether it is compatible with a religious outlook. βΈ™
