ABSTRACTAntonio Truyol y Serra explains that the study he undertakes in this course confines on the borders of the sociology of international law and the theory of international relations. He begins his research with a presentation of the concept of international society. He then discusses the genesis and evolution of global international society, and then the issue of the role of states in the international society. He then focuses on the place and role of social forces and the individual in international society.

Antonio Truyol y Serra explique que l'étude qu'il entreprend dans ce cours se situe aux confins de la sociologie du droit international et de la théorie des relations internationales. Il commence sa recherche par une présentation de la notion de société internationale. Il expose ensuite la genèse et l'évolution de la société internationale mondiale, puis la question de la place des Etats dans cette société internationale. Il s'intéresse ensuite à la place et au rôle des forces sociales et de l'individu dans la société internationale.
