ABSTRACTFrederick Mann explains in an introduction to his study that the Modern public international law of the money deals with four main subjects. Money is first and foremost one of the objects of the international organization, and its legal implications deserve attention. Then, the author studies main aspects of many treaties accompanying the international organization of the money. In addition, there is a question of the possible limitation of the monetary sovereignty of States by international custom. Finally, the author considers the monetary exchanges between States and other subjects of international law, which have developed so recently (the course is given in 1959), to study the monetary law of inter-State obligations.
Le droit international public moderne de la monnaie concerne quatre sujets principaux, explique Frederick Mann en introduction de son étude. La monnaie est tout d'abord l'un des objets de l'organisation internationale, et ses implications juridiques méritent l'attention. Ensuite, l'organisation internationale de la monnaie est accompagnée de nombreux traités dont l'auteur étudie les principaux aspects. Se pose en outre la question de la limitation éventuelle de la souveraineté monétaire des Etats par la coutume internationale. Enfin, les échanges monétaires entre Etats et autres sujets du droit international se sont tellement développés récemment (le cours est donné en 1959) que l'auteur estime nécessaire d'étudier le droit monétaire des obligations interétatiques.
