ABSTRACTThe subject of course of Sjur Braekhuis, Professor at the University of Oslo, relates to the frontier zone between private international law and maritime law (or the zone common to these two domains). After general remarks on maritime conflicts of law, the author studies the issue of nationality (flag) and the choice of law. He then explains the general principles related to maritime contracts and studies some specific contracts.
