ABSTRACTNo society, no legal regime is possible without the certainty that the commitment given will be upheld. This truth has always been recognized. John Whitton writes that at all times, man has expressed his approval for the pacta sunt servanda principle. After the first chapter devoted to the definitions and historical presentation of the issue, the author studies the problem of the binding force of treaties. The author then proceeds to explain the binding force of the treaties, and the focuses on the issue of legal control of the rule.
