ABSTRACTDuring the earlier period of the French Revolution and during the later period of the Napoleonic Empire, not only philosophical and legal studies flourish in Italy as in other European countries, but also the studies related to human rights and their protection as well as the studies related to the internal organization of States and the best rules for the coexistence of States in international society were particularly enlightened. Enrico Catellani presents the contribution of the Masters of the Italian School of International Law in the nineteenth century through a study of the principle of nationality, the League of Nations, and the fundamental principles of public and private international law.
Pendant la période antérieure à la Révolution française et pendant celle qui a immédiatement suivi l'Empire napoléonien, non seulement les études philosophiques et juridiques ont prospéré en Italie comme dans les autres pays européens, mais celles qui se rapportent aux droits de l'homme et à leur protection y ont été particulièrement cultivées, ainsi que celles qui se rapportent à l'organisation intérieure des États et aux règles les meilleures pour la coexistence des Etats dans la société internationale. Enrico Catellani présente l'apport des maîtres de l'école italienne du droit international au XIXe siècle à travers l'étude du principe de nationalité, de la Société des Nations, et des principes fondamentaux du droit international public et privé.
