ABSTRACTAfter an introduction dedicated to the particularities of the country and the environment that the mandate should govern, Choucri Cardahi studies the mandate from the standpoint of public international law and, in this frame, studies the obligations imposed on the Lebanese-Syrian representative, on international relationships, and on the responsibility of mandatory power. In the second part, the author studies the application of mandate in private international law, particularly related to the law of foreigners and the conflicts of laws.

Après une introduction consacrée aux particularités du pays et du milieu que le mandat doit régir, Choucri Cardahi étudie le mandat sous l'angle du droit international public et étudie dans ce cadre les obligations imposées au mandataire libano-syrien, aux relations internationales, et à la responsabilité de la puissance mandataire. Dans une seconde partie, l'auteur étudie l'application du mandat en droit international privé, notamment en ce qui concerne le droit des étrangers et les conflits de lois.
