ABSTRACTAfter a general presentation of bills of exchange in international trade, Arthur Kuhn presents the main problems raised in international trade by the conflict of laws related to bills of exchange. He then studies the Hague Convention on Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes. The author then focuses on the positive provisions of the Uniform Rules, then to the draft elaborated at the Hague Conference of 1912 for the unification of legislation on checks, and finally to the League of Nations and its action in the field of international regulation of bills of exchange.
Après une présentation générale des effets de commerce dans le commerce international, Arthur Kuhn présente les principaux problèmes soulevés dans le commerce international par les conflits de lois relatifs aux effets de commerce. Il étudie ensuite la Convention de La Haye relative aux lettres de change et billets à ordre. Il s'intéresse ensuite aux dispositions positives du règlement uniforme, puis au projet élaboré à la Conférence de La Haye de 1912 pour l'unification de la législation sur les chèques, et enfin à la Sociétés des Nations et à son action dans le domaine de la réglementation internationale des effets de commerce.
