ABSTRACTThe objectives of course of Richard Bilder, Professor at the University of Wisconsin, on the Settlement of Disputes in the Field of International Law of the Environment are: to examine the nature of international environmental disputes and their importance to the international order to identify and analyze the relevant law and practices, with particular attention to international rivers and lakes, lakes, oceans and the atmosphere; and to suggest some principles, approaches, and techniques that international law and international institutions could use in the settlement of international environmental disputes.
Les objectifs que Richard Bilder, professeur à l’Université du Wisconsin, donne à son cours sur le règlement des différends dans le domaine du droit international de l’environnement sont les suivants : examiner la nature des différends environnementaux internationaux et leur importance pour l’ordre international ; relever et analyser le droit et la pratiques pertinents en la matière, avec une attention particulière portée aux cours d’eau et lacs internationaux, aux lacs, aux océans et à l’atmosphère ; suggérer quelques principes, approches et techniques que le droit international et les institutions internationales pourraient utiliser dans le domaine du règlement des différends environnementaux internationaux.

Oceana Publications will reportedly shortly issue the first three volumes of a series entitled International Protection of the Environment: Treaties and Related Documents, a work planned in ten volumes.
