ABSTRACTIn the introduction to his course on the Codification of International Law, Charles De Visscher presents the characteristics of the Codification of International Law as it occurred in 1925. The author devotes the first part of his course to an analysis of the fundamental concepts, the foundation, and formal sources of international law. In the second part to deal entirely with the codification itself, the author successively deals with the codifications of domestic law and the codification of international law, objections against the codification of international law, advantages of codification, history of the movement for codification, and the present conditions for the codification of international law.
Dans l'introduction de son cours sur la codification du droit international, Charles De Visscher présente les caractères de la codification du droit international telle qu'elle se présente en 1925. Il consacre la première partie de son cours à une analyse des notions fondamentales, du fondement et des sources formelles du droit international. Dans la deuxième partie, qui porte entièrement sur la codification elle-même, l'auteur s'intéresse successivement aux codifications de droit interne et à la codification du droit international, aux objections contre la codification du droit international, aux avantages de la codification, à l'historique du mouvement pour la codification, et aux conditions présentes d'une codification du droit international.
