ABSTRACTIn his course, Henri Battifol aims to discuss the renewal of methods of private international law and the actual or possible influence of the different trends in private international law. He proposes to delimit the scope of each of these methods. The author devotes his first chapter to conflicts of laws and conflicts of jurisdiction, the second to substantive rules, and the third to mandatory rules.
Dans son cours, Henri Battifol entend faire le point sur le renouvellement des méthodes du droit international privé et sur l'influence effective ou possible des différentes tendances du droit international privé. Il propose ainsi de délimiter le domaine de chacune de ces méthodes. L'auteur consacre son premier chapitre aux conflits de lois et aux conflits de juridiction, le deuxième aux règles matérielles, et le troisième aux lois de police.
