ABSTRACTI. Seidl-Hohenveldern, Professor at the Institute of International Law and International Relations in Vienna, focuses his general course on public international law on issues of international economic law, while addressing all major themes of public international law. In seventeen chapters, the author discusses the subjects of international economic law, the concept of sovereignty in international economic law, and the question of the sources of international economic law. He is also interested in the State in international economic law (particularly regarding territory, nationality, and government), before successively considering bilateral inter-State economic relations, the role of international organizations in international law, inter-State joint ventures, the place of individuals in international inter-State law, the basic economic rights of States, economic human rights, the property rights of foreigners, the problem of State responsibility in international economic law, the settlement of disputes in international economic law, and economic war.

I. Seidl-Hohenveldern, professeur à l’Institut de droit international et des relations internationales de Vienne, concentre son cours général de droit international public aux questions de droit international économique, tout en abordant l’ensemble des grands thèmes du droit international public. En dix-sept chapitres, l’auteur aborde la question des sujets du droit international économique, la notion de souveraineté en droit international économique, et la question des sources du droit international économique. Il s’intéresse en outre à l’État en droit international économique (notamment à ce qui concerne le territoire, la nationalité et le gouvernement), avant d’envisager successivement les relations économiques interétatiques bilatérales, le rôle des organisations internationales dans le droit international, les entreprises communes interétatiques, la place des individus dans le droit international interétatique, les droits économiques de base des États, les droits de l’homme économique, le droit des propriété des étrangers, le problème de la responsabilité étatique en droit international économique, le règlement des différends en droit international économique, et la guerre économique.
