ABSTRACTFelix Ermacora, Professor at the University of Vienna, devotes his course to the protection of minorities before the United Nations. After a historical overview of the protection of minorities from the inter-war period, the author presents a dogmatic approach to the problems of minorities before the United Nations: the problem of defining the concept of minority, the problem of the assimilation and protection of minorities, the protection of minorities through the integration or prevention of discrimination, and the protection of minorities as a group approach. He focuses on the implementation and effectiveness of the protection of minorities before the United Nations.

Après un rappel historique de la protection des minorités à partir de l'entre-deux-guerres, l'auteur expose une approche dogmatique des problèmes des minorités devant les Nations Unies : le problème de la définition de la notion de minorité, le problème de l'assimilation et de la protection des minorités, la protection des minorités par l'intégration ou la prévention de la discrimination, la protection des minorités en tant qu'approche de groupe. Il s'intéresse ensuite à la mise en œuvre et à l'efficacité de la protection des minorités devant les Nations Unies.
