ABSTRACTThe main objectives pursued by Joseph Gold, Senior Consultant at the International Monetary Fund, are on the one hand an attempt to clarify what is meant by the international monetary system, which has become a legal concept at present, and on the other hand a discussion of the three elements covered by the three concepts of the international monetary system, the scope of activities of the International Monetary Fund, and international monetary law as a domain of public international law.

Les principaux objectifs poursuivis par Joseph Gold, Consultant senior au Fonds monétaire international, sont d'une part une tentative de clarification de ce que l'on entend par système monétaire international maintenant que c'est devenu un concept juridique, et d'autre part une discussion des trois éléments recouverts par les trois concepts de système monétaire international, de sphère des activités du Fonds monétaire international, et de droit monétaire international en tant que domaine du droit international public.
