ABSTRACTFirst, this course considers how legal certainty is understood, as the term is broad. Through a first approach, it becomes clear that absolute certainty cannot be found. This series of lectures investigate a different aspect of private international law, with a focus on the EU and US approach to it, and how it contributes to legal certainty. A survey of the different connections used to achieve legal certainty is portrayed, as corrections and exceptions to the connection are explained in a chapter dedicated to them. Legal certainty appears therefore as a moving and evolving goal in international civil cases.
RÉSUMÉTout d'abord, ce cours examine la façon dont la sécurité juridique est comprise, car le terme est large. Par une première approche, il devient clair qu'il est impossible de trouver une certitude absolue. Cette série de conférences examine un aspect différent du droit international privé, en mettant l'accent sur l'approche de l'UE et des États-Unis à son égard, et sur la manière dont il contribue à la sécurité juridique. Un aperçu des différents liens utilisés pour parvenir à la sécurité juridique est présenté, et les corrections et exceptions à ce lien sont expliquées dans un chapitre qui leur est consacré. La sécurité juridique apparaît donc comme un objectif mouvant et évolutif dans la jurisprudence civile internationale.
